I saw many people drawing a yokai called Amabie, a creature which appears from the sea and offers protection to people affected by epidemics if you show a picture of it to them. I found very nice that its image is being spread around because of it, so I wanted to join and draw an original character inspired by Amabie too, so that she would bring us luck when the chaos happened and it would get better soon.
I really wanted to finish this drawing because I was very happy with how she looked and her meaning was very important. I drew her with the previous worried expression she had in the first sketch, and I drew her a new smiling one because thinking more about her character, I thought that she would like a lot photographs and pictures of her since they help people if they are shown around, so I drew her ‘posing’ for one :’). Mucha gente está dibujando sus propias versiones un yokai llamado Amabie, una criatura que emerge del mar y que ofrece protección a aquellos afectados por una epidemia si les muestras una imagen del yokai. Me pareció algo muy bonito así que quise unirme y dibujar un personaje propio inspirado en Amabie también para que nos trajese y todo el caos se mejorara pronto.
Quise acabar este dibujo porque me gustó mucho como quedó y su significado era muy importante. La he dibujé con la expresión preocupada que tenía en su primer boceto, y la dibujé también sonriendo porque, pensando en el personaje, pensé que le gustarían mucho las fotografías e imágenes de ella ya que ayudan a la gente si le son mostradas, así que la he dibujado ‘posando’ para ellas :’).
